Message well over the past few weeks ive been slaving out in the hot texas sun, doing my conversion. i received my clip 4 weeks ago today, but have only been able to make some progress over the weekends. so here are a few pics.

these horns came with the clip. check out how huge they are! stock on the left

using NA AC lines wasnt that bad at all. this was the only bad part. making these fit was a chore, but i got it to work. anyone need tt ac lines?

the other condensor connection was no problem

all intercooler pipes and hoses are in place, along with the intercoolers and the horns

the stripped clip - notice the prelude hood

in kilometers... its about 60k miles

pull day

i took off one of the timing covers and found this. it worried me - those worries were realized (read on)

pulling this one was sort of a chore. it was sitting over grass and dirt so i spent most of my time rolling around getting filthy as hell trying to unbolt everything. not to mention that i dont have any experience with turbo engines and their components ORRR automatic transmissions. managed to get it done though. once we pulled it to a certain point we actually just lowered the clip around the engine as it was suspended from the hoist. pretty smart, eh?

looks spent

everything was going smoothly til i hit a bump in my road to completion. i had noticed that the timing belt seemed a little loose, which worried me some. also i found the rusty color of the timing belt to be a little weird.

so once i got it on the stand i decided to take the plugs out and turn it over to make sure everything was in good shape. when i took out the plugs though, i found that #4 was covered in oil. strange... so i went to turn it over after they were all out.

starting from about 7oclock- turning turning-- HALT, at 2oclock. i checked the spark plug holes to see which piston was hitting. #4. i turned it back around and tried again.

there was no moving of the breaker bar any further. the valves are bent which is stopping the piston from completing its stroke and hence the engine from completing its rotation. FUCK.

some of you may know of my past experiences with engines in this car. to say the least, this was heartbreaking news. after my first engine hydrolocked, i sucessfully replaced the NA engine with another NA engine. little did i know that that one had a rod knock. not willing to risk anything, i decided (after some encouragement) to pull that engine and replace, except this time to be twinturbo. and now this.

what gets me is that noyanusa (the vendor i bought the clip from) claims to run the engines before they sell them. this engine will not run, so im not sure how they couldve tested it as they claim. (note: i am in no way looking to bash noyan). i called them though and they immediately shipped out another engine for me. great customer service.

to say the least this was a hard blow.

breaker bar stops here

anyway, as a side note, anything you see in the following pics is for sale.
anyone want to convert to right hand drive?? :)

thanks for looking. i will update
